Captain Meares Elementary Secondary School is a rural K–12 school in School District 84, serving the community of Tahsis on the territory of the Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation. Our goal is to create a positive and safe environment where students grow as independent learners, develop a strong sense of personal and cultural identity, and actively engage with their learning goals and future aspirations.
Wishing our students, families, and staff a safe and restful summer. The school office has limited hours over July and August. For general inquiries, please email cmessadmin@viw.sd84.bc.ca and we’ll respond as we’re able.
Thinking of relocating to Tahsis with school-age children? We’d love to hear from you. Please call or email us anytime — we’re happy to answer questions and welcome new families for September.
